RADIO SILENCE

Our Youth Chair has been AWOL for the past two weeks; hence there was no Lions Weekly Round Up. We've managed to track him down and contain him, so normal service resumes for this week….apologies!

RFU GRAND DRAW

Thanks to our hard working youth volunteers, we have raised over £300 for the club, through selling RFU Grand Draw raffle tickets.

CLUB SURVEY

We still really want to hear from our young players and their parents, so please complete our survey. Click here to do this now: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/72RG3KB

You could win £25 to spend on club merchandise or at our bar.

FUNDRAISING QUIZ

We continue our fundraising efforts this Friday with our club fundraising quiz! Come on down for 7pm.

Raffles too with great prizes

£3 per adult £2 per child...max 6 to a team.

Don’t forget, we have 2 tickets to see England vs Scotland at Twickenham on Sunday, 13th March to give away and ALL Millwall Lions players, who have attended every training session and match for the month of February are in with a chance of winning.

ALL FOR THE PARENTS

Much (ok all!) of what we do is for the kids. But we want to recognise the parents as well. We know its not easy to get your child down to muddy Mudchute on a cold Wednesday night or up at the crack of dawn for a match on Sunday morning….so we want to thank you.

SO, we have TWO events planned, especially for you!

1. Parents Wine & Cheese Social Night (Friday 25th of March)

We'll have Champaign on arrival, canapés plus a selection of wine and cheese available for all parents of children in the Millwall Lions youth section. Come on down to the clubhouse from 7pm and let your hair down!

And if Friday nights aren’t your thing…

2. Parents Lunch & Volunteering Information Day (Sunday 10th of April)

We'll have a light lunch on for parents of Millwall Lions players as well as providing information to you about volunteering with Millwall Rugby Club. You'll have the opportunity to talk to the current volunteers, find out what they do and also what they get out of helping run Millwall Rugby Club.

You can also sign up for fully-funded places on either RFU Coaching or refereeing courses.

If nothing else, you won't have to worry about preparing that Sunday lunch for the family!

It is our ambition to have a youth section that is well supported by the parents of our players, so please make an effort to come down so we can get to know you!

LAP OF HONOUR AT SARRIES

We have been invited to celebrate Saracens final match at Vicarage Road on Sunday 24th of April. Yes, this is Easter Sunday, but they are offering us a superb deal!

For just £3 for juniors, £6 for adults, we'll transport you to the game.

And while Saracens are warming up, all Millwall Lions players will get a chance to do a lap of honour around the pitch in front of an expectant large crowd.

Price includes match tickets as well.

We need a minimum of 20 kids to go in order for us to qualify for the lap of honour, so please let Sarah or Maureen know if you can make it ASAP!

6 NATIONS COMPETITION

We have 2 tickets to see England vs Scotland at Twickenham on Sunday, 13th March to give away and ALL Millwall Lions players are in with a chance of winning.

All you need to do is attend every training session and match in the month of February - that's 8 Wednesday and Sunday sessions.

Those players who attend every session will be entered into the draw to win these great tickets.

THIRST THURSDAY RETURNS

An old Millwall Rugby tradition has been resumed this month, with the return of Thirst Thursday.

On the first Thursday evening of the month, current and ex-players, volunteers and friends meet at a different location for a bit of socialising and quiet drinks.

We'd love to see some of our parents there, so if you fancy getting out tonight, head on down to Byblos Harbour (opposite the Lotus Chinese restaurant, Crossharbour) and joins us!
