Merry Christmas from Millwall Lions

A Christmas Message from our Youth Chair, Matt Shorrock:

Let me firstly take this opportunity to thank all parents and players for their efforts and involvement in the Millwall Lions Youth Section so far this season and throughout 2010.

It's been a year of mixed emotions, highlights and some low lights - but the thing that's really stood out for me is the passion that you all have, not only for your children's enjoyment in the game, but for the club as well.

I want to personally thank all the parents for their ongoing support, particular during this difficult time. Millwall Lions really wouldn't be where it is today if not for the hard working volunteers - many of them parents themselves - putting in so much time and effort. So, as it's Christmas, please join me in saying a BIG BIG THANK YOU to the following youth section volunteers:

Sarah Edmead, Gary Mclaughlin, Scott Vinnicombe, Maureen Lajolie, Chris Attwood, Kerry Attwood, Kev Doherty, Dawn Doherty, Kathy Garwood, Melanie Riley, Kay Foley, Vicky Shorrock, Shaun Score, Mal McLean, Steve Hill, Nicky Anderson...and all of the parents who have helped out in some way so far this year! We really appreciate your continued support.

I'd also like to say a personal thank you to the Club Management Committee members for their help and support during the year. It's been difficult for all of us, and we don't always see eye-to-eye, but we are a great club and contributing to a great cause. So stick with it, and the rewards will come! 

Before I sign off let me also say a big thank you to all the players of the youth section. You are the reason we are all here, doing what we do. We truly believe we have the best kids in all of Essex and London; and you guys prove it to us every week! Keep up the effort and see you all in January!
